The Growth Technology Company has conducted custom-made research of the capital market of public catering on a segment of service "business lunch".

For last 2 years Muscovites and inhabitants of capital began to go less often to restaurants and cafe on evening actions.

At the same time, the quantity of visitors of institutions of public catering remains in the afternoon at former level. The majority of visitors prefer to order the generated business lunch which on the average manages it on 30 % more cheaply, than a dinner under the basic menu.

But the most important thing that satisfies a business lunch to the main condition of a lunch food, - speeds of reception of dishes. Day visitors are usually limited in time by a lunch break, and want to spend for all dinner a maximum of 30 minutes.

The share of a gain from granting of service a business lunch stably grows in the general structure of incomes of the Moscow public catering. The most active players are democratic institutions of open type of casual-cafe, pubs, pizzerias, a land and coffee houses. They strongly hold leadership in the capital market of a business lunch which on the potential of all in 2 - 2,5 times are less than volume of evening service.

For the first time analysts of Growth Technology have conducted initiative research of the market of business lunches in Moscow in 2006.
